New Subsidiary Strengthens Expertise in Non-Destructive Testing for the Railway Industries
KARL DEUTSCH Prüf- und Messgerätebau GmbH + Co KG announces that BTD GmbH, founded on April 1, 2024, has been integrated into the KARL DEUTSCH Group as a wholly owned subsidiary effective immediately. BTD GmbH has moved into its headquarters at the Material Science Campus in Magdeburg, where it brings together the group’s expertise in the field of non-destructive materials testing for the railway industries.
Strategic Integration and Synergies
With the full acquisition of BTD GmbH, the KARL DEUTSCH Group is further consolidating the structural integration of the company and laying the foundations for new synergies. BTD GmbH’s existing expertise is being directly incorporated into the further development of innovative testing systems within the group. The focus is on the development and manufacture of systems for non-destructive material testing in the rail vehicle and railway industries – a market in which reliability and precision are of the utmost importance.
Management
BTD GmbH will in future be managed solely by Mr Sascha Rosenbaum (CFO of KARL DEUTSCH Prüf- und Messgerätebau GmbH + Co KG). With his many years of experience within the group, Mr Rosenbaum ensures the seamless operational and strategic integration of BTD GmbH into the KARL DEUTSCH family.

Customers have access to highly experienced NDT specialists within the sales team at BTD GmbH, as well as the company’s own design engineers, who develop practical and cost-effective solutions for the challenging inspection tasks in the railway sector.
