The KARL DEUTSCH group of companies grows

As of 1 April 2024, we are founding BTD GmbH, based in Brandenburg, together with our partner “Material Science Campus”.

We are proud that the KARL DEUTSCH group of companies is growing and that this foundation opens up exciting new sales channels for us. The new company in the KARL DEUTSCH family is primarily involved in the manufacture of systems for non-destructive material testing in the railway vehicles sector. In addition, we are reorganising our sales activities for eastern Germany with the founding of BTD GmbH. From now on, we will be even closer to our customers.

The newly founded company merges with the company BTD GmbH & Co. KG, whose previous owner, Mr Wolfgang Spruch, will also be part of the new management. Thanks to the transfer of expertise from BTD GmbH & Co. KG, the innovations in the KARL DEUTSCH Group are being further developed.

The company is managed by the Managing Directors Mr Sven Rühe (Material Science Campus) and Mr Sascha Rosenbaum (KARL DEUTSCH). The management team is strengthened by the two persons with authorised signatory powers (Prokura) Mr Wolfgang Spruch and Mr Olaf Wiedfeldt (CTO).

We are looking forward to a large number of interesting rail vehicle projects that we have already been able to realise for interesting customers this year. This is evidence of the market’s great trust in KARL DEUTSCH as a reliable partner in the field of non-destructive testing.

Since its foundation in 1949, the owner-managed company KARL DEUTSCH has been engaged in the development and manufacture of equipment for non-destructive material testing. Mobile testing devices, stationary testing systems, sensors and chemical crack detection media for the testing methods UT, MT and PT are manufactured in two plants in Wuppertal by 130 motivated employees.
